Installation of 750mm dia. Casing by Pipe Ramming – LTL’s 24” Pipe Ram
LTL installed a 750mm Steel casing crossing under the CP Railway ROW in Ignace. The installation was approx. 63m long. Soil at the crossing location included areas with significant cobbles and boulders.

Installation of New Raw Water Intake Pipe
LTL installed a new 300mm dia. raw water intake pipe for the new water treatment plant in Ignace. The marine section of the pipe installation included 150m of marine work from shoclassine to the intake structure and approx. 100m of submerged intake installation on land to facilitate the marine installation.
- Photo on left shows excavators preparing trench and lake bottom to accept new intake pipe.
- Photo in centre provides clear view of the intake pipe with pipe weights installed being positioned in the marine trench.
- Photo on right shows a rock berm constructed into the lake for access to excavate the lake bottom to grade.
